From tomorrow, from 7 to 9 May, gnration will become a meeting point for artists, curators, researchers and representatives of European institutions working at the intersection of art, technology and science.
Over three days, the EMAP Networking Conference will bring together different formats—presentations, talks and exhibition moments—creating a space for exchange between members of the network and their partners, with part of the programme open to anyone interested in media arts. A highlight will be the presentation of projects by artists selected through the EMAP 2026 open call, to be developed במסגרת international residencies.
This conference serves as the starting point and activation of the annual European residency programme, fostering dialogue between artistic practices, research and institutional contexts. As part of a network involving organisations from several European countries, the event contributes to the development of collaborations, knowledge sharing and the international circulation of projects.
Co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, EMAP is one of the leading European networks dedicated to media art, promoting the creation, production and circulation of new works through residencies, exhibitions and critical exchange. Comprising institutions from fifteen European countries, gnration is the only Portuguese cultural venue to be part of this network.
