Established in 2017, Culture Next is a network dedicated to cities that are candidates for the title of European Capital of Culture – whether current or former, successful or unsuccessful – with the aim of promoting wider recognition of culture as a driver of sustainable development and expanding existing frameworks for European cultural cooperation.

At this meeting, the Board of Directors and an extended Executive Team discussed the details of the next four years for this network, which already comprises 39 cities from 24 countries in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
