Faz Cultura – Braga’s Municipal Culture Company will join PERFORMART – Associação para as Artes Performativas em Portugal, strengthening its strategic positioning within the national cultural landscape. The membership will be formalised at the association’s next General Assembly, scheduled for 24 November at the CACE Cultural.
PERFORMART is a platform that brings together leading public and private entities in the cultural sector, including organisations such as the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, the Teatro Nacional São João, EGEAC and OPART – Organismo de Produção Artística, alongside other theatres, production centres and independent artistic structures that contribute to the diversity of Portugal’s cultural ecosystem.
The association promotes coordination among performing arts stakeholders and the adoption of joint positions on matters of shared interest, consolidating a space for representation and advocacy for professionals and institutions operating in this field.
Faz Cultura’s entry into this institutional network represents a significant step forward in strengthening its work in the performing arts. Its integration into PERFORMART aligns with the ongoing investment the municipal company has made in enhancing and diversifying Braga’s cultural programming, aiming to ensure an increasingly consistent approach that responds to the sector’s current challenges.
Through this membership, Faz Cultura becomes part of a broad forum for cooperation, benefiting from dialogue with some of the country’s most prestigious cultural organisations while also contributing to the development of cultural policies that promote sustainability, excellence and innovation. The formalisation of its entry into PERFORMART thus reaffirms the institution’s commitment to enhancing the territory, strengthening creative networks, and supporting the continued growth of the cultural sector in Braga and across Portugal.
