The ODSlocal Platform, built on broad mobilisation among municipal decision-makers and technical staff, local stakeholders and citizens around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda, aims to create a national ODSlocal movement to which municipalities can subscribe, exponentially engaging other public actors and civil society.
This initiative is supported by a dynamic online portal that enables the visualisation and monitoring of each municipality’s contributions and progress in relation to the SDGs.
The ODSlocal platform began with a pilot co-creation phase involving the project’s promoting entities and several Portuguese municipalities. Since 2020, it has been open to all Portuguese municipalities interested in participating, with the support of Fundación la Caixa.
In coordination with the Municipality of Braga, Faz Cultura has begun submitting some of its projects to this platform. To date, seven projects have been submitted, all of which have been nominated for the ODSlocal Award in the Local Projects category. This category recognises civil society projects mapped on the ODSlocal Portal that have a significant impact on achieving the SDGs at a local level, are inspiring, and demonstrate strong potential for replication.
Projects:
- Supracasa
- Square_Mapping the Atlantic
- Desejar – Movement of Arts and Common Places
- Extremo
