Call for performance proposals in the field of art and technology

Originally conceived by gnration as a programming cycle for performative projects at the intersection of art and technology, Binário now takes the form of an open call to support a new work, co-produced by gnration and Teatro das Figuras.

Until 29 December 2026, a call for proposals is open for projects exploring the intersection of sound, light, moving image, digital technologies or computational art in a performative or hybrid (performative/installation) context. Emerging artists, individually or as collectives, who have created and publicly presented between one and four artistic works may apply.

In addition to a €10,000 grant, the selected project will have the opportunity to undertake artistic residencies and present its work publicly twice: in Braga and Faro, in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
