Between 7 and 9 May, gnration became a meeting point for artists, curators, researchers and representatives of European institutions working at the intersection of art, technology and science.
Over the course of three days, the EMAP Networking Conference brought together different formats — presentations, talks and exhibition moments — creating a space for exchange between the various members of the network and their partners, with part of the programme open to all those interested in media arts.
One of the key moments of the event was the presentation of the 15 projects selected through this year’s EMAP open call, including the artistic duo sikau/pubalova, whose artistic residency will take place at gnration.
In this sense, the conference serves as the starting point and activation of the annual European residency programme, fostering dialogue between artistic practices, research and institutional contexts. As part of a network involving organisations from several European countries, the event contributes to the development of collaborations, the sharing of knowledge and the international circulation of projects.
Co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, EMAP is one of the leading European networks dedicated to media art, promoting the creation, production and circulation of new works through residencies, exhibitions and moments of critical exchange. It is made up of institutions from fifteen European countries, including gnration.
